Blood Vessels Detection in the Fingers Area for Liveness Detection
Šulavík, Jan ; Goldmann, Tomáš (referee) ; Rydlo, Štěpán (advisor)
Biometrics as a part of computer technology are recently rising in popularity and various biometric methods are becoming a part of everyday human life. This work in the first place informs the reader on the basics of biometrics in computer technology and further continues to discuss the use of veins in this area as veins are for their uniqueness considered as an ideal human physiological trait for use in biometrics. It is described in what manner is this biometric characteristic being captured. Further more the work describes some image processing methods for extracting biometric data from the input images that are later used. These methods were also implemented and the details of this implementation are to be found later in the text. In the last part the suggested methods of blood vessel detection are tested and the results evaluated.

1 Abstract The aim of work: The aim of work was to provide information about the issue of bloodstream infections. Describe methods of hemocultivation techniques that are routinely used in the laboratory of the Clinical microbiology and antibiotics surveillance at Na Homolce Hospital. Give an overview of number of positive blood cultures and representation of each bacterial genus and species isolated from the blood of selected patients in the Department of Intensive care at Na Homolce Hospital in 2014 and 2015. Methods: The number of positive blood culture and the frequency representation of the various bacterial genus and species were monitoring from patients hospitalized in the Department of Vascular intensive care surgery and Intensive care unit of internal department at Na Homolce Hospital during the period from 1. 1. 2014 to 31. 12. 2015. Results: At the Vascular intensive care surgery, 537 blood cultures were collected in the time period considered. 93 blood cultures were positive from this amount, which represents 17%. The most common isolates from blood cultures were coagulase-negative staphylococci (56%), and Staphylococcus aureus (19%), the genus Candida (9%), representatives of the family Enterobacteriaceae (9%), Pseudomonas aeruginosa (3%) and members of the genus Enterococcus (2 %). At the...

Fyzikální model systémového odporu krevního řečiště člověka
Chlup, Hynek ; Konvičková, S.
The element simulating the body tissue resistance changes represents the dominant part in the cardiovascular modeling circuit set-ups. The element simulating the distal resistance of system circuit of the bloodstream systemic resistance was created. The total resistance of this apparatus is possible to change with connecting proper number of resistance segments, in dependence of experiments. The element is made up of multiple embranchment flow liquids and resistance segments. The flow cross-section will be extended fivefold from input to output by full opening of SO.
